LAURA
WALDORF Laura Waldorf's artwork is as alive and vibrant as she is. Her bright, colorful, energetic images reflect her personality and philosophy. She excels in Pop Art layered paper collages that are intricately hand-cut and assembled in a highly detailed graphic style. Each collage is an adventure; each tells its own story guided by the artist's imagination and skill. Ms. Waldorf developed her interest in cut paper while she was a student at the University of Arizona. Her earliest works in this medium were inspired by Arizona landscape and culture. She is a formally trained graphic artist who graduated with a degree in Fine Art in 1991. Miss Waldorf lived in New York City until 1997, where she continued to find and develop her own expression, incorporating her innate understanding of the power of color. Her greatest inspiration within this genre has been the works of the late Andy Warhol.
