MIAMI, January 29, 2005.  Please join us in welcoming six of this decade's most exciting mid-career and emerging US artists as we open our first exhibition of 2005, Material Whirled on Saturday, January 29 - from 7-11PM.  .  Material Whirled  brings together an elaborate selection of two and three dimensional works by artists noted for exploring and extending the periphery and potentials of new genre/new media in 21st  Century American Art.  At center, Material Whirled  aims to report on the fixation and fascination of material, be it the physical or the philosophic.

Artists include: Ray Beldner, Lisa Bertnick, Luis Sanchez, Robin Koenig, Scott Cawood, and Kara D'Angelo.

Continuing our cycle of exhibitions which probes at the phenomenon of desire and seduction by introducing works by artists whose executions expose the acting out of various obsessions, processes and psychologies entailed in the fulfillment of and attraction to such forces at play around us, Material Whirled opens in conjunction with 55th Street Station's “Last Saturday” URBAN EVENT in the our courtyard on Saturday, January 29, from 7PM through 11PM and runs through March 19, 2005 .  Please contact gallery for additional information or visual material. 

Bettcher Gallery is located in the center of the Fine Arts District of the Biscayne Corridor and within the heart of  Soyka's 55th Street Station's enclave of shops and restaurants at Biscayne Boulevard and 55 Street.   Gallery hours are Tuesday: 11:00-5:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday 12:00-10:00 PM, or by appointment by calling (305)758-7556.

Marc Dennis: The Mismeasure of Nature remains on exhibit through January 24, 2005.
